👩🏻🎓 Dr. Lauren Clark’s Mentorship Program offers a comprehensive curriculum for ambitious physical therapists and/or athletic trainers looking to jump-start their careers. This 3-month certification program includes client shadowing, weekly in-person clinical skill reviews & movement programming education, journal article reviews, and an opportunity to assist in cross-collaborative research projects with two major sports performance brands.
This mentorship will require a significant time commitment reserved for guided home study curriculum and client shadowing, programming & training. At the end of the mentorship program, participants (mentees) will understand the key philosophies driving Lauren’s training & therapy methods and will possess the necessary skills & confidence to either join LCPTinc (at the acclaimed Maverick Community facility) or become a successful independent therapist.

** This is an unpaid mentorship in which participants will be offered priority consideration at the end of their 3-month program for either part-time or full-time employment*

- 13+ years of experience fusing sports medicine with highly skilled manual therapy, orthopedic & holistic framework.
- Lauren is currently operating her own successful independent physical therapy practice based out of Maverick Community’s facility in West Hollywood, CA.
- Lauren previously held the role of Performance Physical Therapy Manager for the esteemed EXOS Los Angeles flagship site, located inside the home of Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy, US Soccer Federation and US Tennis Association at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Here, she managed evaluation & design of high performance & return-to-sport programs for NFL, NBA, MLB & combine preparation programs. She also collaborated with hundreds of the industry’s top medical personnel in treatment of athletes within NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, PGA, LPGA, Symetra Tour, AVP, USTA, WTA, MLS, NWSL, English Premier & Championship Leagues and US Olympic athletes as well as further various international organizations.
- Lauren previously managed various High Performance facilities in Chicago and Boston as well as provided contracted services to elite athletes & world-class film & music talent nationwide.
- In addition to traditional sport experience, Lauren has also served as a Physical Therapist at the nation’s only US Navy Bootcamp in North Chicago, serves as an Injury Prevention Specialist to various tactical performance organizations and collaborates with top athletic brands in the research & design of various footwear and the culture of rehabilitation within athletic populations.
Mentorship Outline
This is a 3-month mentorship program with the potential to be offered a role within Lauren’s private physical therapy practice at Maverick Community in which mentorship will continue throughout the extent of employment. This 3-month mentorship will include weekly in-person meetings with Lauren and then transition to monthly in-person meetings, should the mentee be offered a paid role working with Dr. Clark. Here is a summary of the time commitment for the first 3 months:
- 4 Hours/Wk: In-person client shadowing (at Maverick Community in West Hollywood)
- 2-4 Hours/Wk: In-person skill reviews/article reviews (at Maverick Community in West Hollywood)
- 2+ Hours/Wk: Journal article reviews (independent/at-home)
- 2+ Hours/Wk: Additional guided curriculum review (independent/at-home)
